I'm cool!
You know I'm cool.. No question really.
Tonight I went to a dinner and silent auction to raise money for my son's cub scout pack.. Most of the stuff was stuff I didn't want.. and the stuff I did want.. like these plates of this lady's famous cinnamon rolls... the 3 plates of those went for like $25-$35 bucks each.. for a freaking batch of cinnamon rolls.. But, I have eaten them, and they are good. But not $35 dollars good. ANYWAY.. point is.. I DID put a bid in on one item..
and I won it!!
People LAUGHED at me when I claimed it.. But man, I don't care because it was AWESOME!.
I didn't win the bath kits..
I didn't win the framed hiking backpacks..
I didn't win the coupon for yard work, or coupons for one desert a month for a year - made by a cute cub scout and his mommy..
or a variety of other things.
The thing I won cost $7 dollars.
It weighs 42 pounds.. YES FORTY TWO POUNDS..
I won a 42 pound bag of scoopable cat litter.
YES!! CAT LITTER!!
for $7 dollars.
Dude, you know how much that sucker costs at the store?? Like $20 bucks!! I got it for $7.
I scored!! That will keep my 2 indoor cats in business for a while!!
Oh, and it was supporting cute little cub scouts. Everybody wins!

ownerslave of two indoor cats myself, I share it. Sure wish I could score deal like that. These guys are costing me a small fortune, what with veterinary-brand dry food and litter by the tub-full.18 pound orange toms pee a LOT. Just sayin'...

I do what I can for the scouts.. mostly it is just my time since I never have much money. But I help at the den meetings and when they go on field trips.

I especially love that you got something you NEED for alot LESS than you normally would pay for it.
Yeah, those rolls would have been good, but after you ate them you would felt like crap from all the sugar, your kids would be climbing the walls from the HFCS (yeah, it's in there in one form or another)
and you would be $35 POORER with nothing to show for it except stomach cramps and a receipt from the cub scouts.
Now you're happy, your cats are happy, your house is happy, and the cubscouts are happy.
